might add; what ensures you that your interpretation of the bible is the correct one?
I think this will be the last ones. Do you care? Does it hurt you directly? Does it hurt anyone?
Of course I care! Parable of the Sower! I am a servant of God just like you. I'm a sinner and I'm in this world in the flesh Walking in the Spirit attaining Salvation. God says,
"The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance," The Second Epistle of Peter Chapter 3, Verse 9.
God does not want to punish any of us, his creations whom he loves so much. Whos sins he sent his beloved son Jesus Christ to die for so that they may be spared from that punishment. I want to do God's will and God wants as many of us to be with Him in that day as possible. So, I do as Jesus had said and I plant seeds.
What happens to the seeds is not up to me. Only God can cause the increase. So it doesn't hurt me directly, but it does hurt people. In the Parable of the Sower, in The Book of the Gospel According to Matthew Chapter 13 (Read it, it is important that you understand), the seed (which is the word of God) may either fall in good soil and prosper many fruit and fulfill its purpose, or it could befall many disasterous outcomes, as stated within that chapter. That hurts people. It is not up to me what people do with the word, but I would like their seed to fall in good soil.
There is no real interpreting or translating of the Bible, there is truly only reading the Bible with understanding the way God intended. Open your eyes and ears and store it in your heart. God inspired the people to write the Bible and in your heart where the knowledge is it is the same as it is in my heart. There is no interpretation. If I did that, I'd be adding onto the Bible or changing it and that's not what God wants.
That's why when I put these things here, I always quote from God's words where I found it because they're not my words, but God's words and I encourage that the Holy Bible should be read so that the true knowledge of God can be attained through reading with understanding.
Whenever I study the word of God or find out something new, I always reference back to the Bible so that it doesn't deceive me or anything. Because if I told someone something that wasn't true, they may spread it and it would develop into that whole Pi = 3 thing that deceived you.
For instance, "God helps those that help themselves." Did you know that this is not in the Bible? God never said that, nor did He inspire it. It is an old adage that came around Ben Franklin's time. When people take these and say them over and over it becomes something negative that deceives people and brings them further from Salvation.
So look things up! Make sure that you are not deceived.
Go back in a Biblical Concordance or interlinear scripture analyzer and look up what you read for understanding in the Bible to discover its meaning if you have to. You will find out so much. One verse that you might read may be related and connected with so many other verses, which you could discover by cross-referencing and going back and finding other places where the words might be find.

I'm out of time. I'm sorry.
Unanswered questions that I will answer next time:
1) How come God loves suffering and humility? Asked by therealspartacus007

To those of you that read the above in its entirety - may God bless you. It shows that you want to develop a deeper understanding of God's word and God sees that and God loves you for it. Now, I encourage you to look up the references yourself in your own Bible. This way you will not be deceived. Don't be satisfied with the tidbits that I quoted to answer questions; go back and read with understanding the entire chapters and discover for yourself so that you can store the knowledge in your heart. The more knowledge you have of God's words, the less likely you will be deceived.
God loves you for it. Every day spent in God's words is a good day. Jesus Christ dwells within the words and God's word is alive!
May God bless and watch over you.

I have been reading your analysis of the bible, and also the comments of the person, retaliating to your beliefs. I would just like to share my opinion, take what you want, or deny what you want. In my opinion, the bible can be compared to Aesop's fables, or other moral filled fairy tales. Did a tortoise and a hare really race? No, but the message and morals are still true. Yes, I suppose I would call that story a lie, a work of fiction. But I still tell children the story because it's an excellent way to convey a wholesome message. Do not base your life on what this dusty old book tells you, verbatim. Read it, and use it to help improve your life...do not live in it. I say, life is a mystery, and that is what God intends it to be. That is in the bible. Do not question, do not analyze. Read. Accept. Live. Thank you.

Just posting again...
God tells me not to condemn nor to judge. And I do neither. I believe homosexuality is NOT a sin. I believe love is love in any form, and it is beautiful. It's not just Isaac, or people on this blog, but blind conservative Christians go through life preaching dusty words, interpreted and written by people. People. Not God. People with imperfections. "But God works through them!" How do you know? "Because that is what the Bible tells us" Exactly. How do you know? Have your beliefs, but don't call others wrong for believing in something else. I think that's what being a Christian is all about, love and compassion. Don't question God, don't question your brothers and sisters, but LOVE. I believe that's all God wants. The church is a buisness, but your faith is personal. Therefore, keep YOUR faith to YOUR own. Let the church preach all it wants, but don't be sucked in to their strict beliefs. Believe what you want, and hold your head up high. If they can say "Homosexuality is wrong" based on nothing, then you can just as easily say "Homosexuality is not wrong" and base it on nothing. Yes, based on nothing. Perhaps my first post will enlighten you to what exactly I mean.

Ok...this is all for tonight I promise. You said yourself, life is vapor, a blink of an eye. The bit about exams...that's kind of disturbing. God does not "Allow you" to do well on exams. Please, sometimes we refer to him as a human magician, someone who has the power to heal our lives in 5 seconds (a tid bit from Bruce Almighty). But, God is not that. God is so much bigger, that portrayal of him helping you on your exams, compared to what God really is...it's so miniscule it's dissapearing in the shadow of his miraculous appearance. I can't even bring myself to words to explain this, but I'll try. These invisible scratches on the surface of our lives, who are you to think that God will come save you on an EXAM?! It's an exam! He is GOD! I don't exactly know how to demonstrate the impossible difference between that exam and God. Show respect for him, it appears as though you're dumbing down his greatness when you credit your passing an exam to him. Much like someone getting an Oscar and crediting an empty milk carton she saw in the park when she was 5 for inspiring her. No. God is not a person, he is everything. I do not pray to a God, I pray to the God. Because he is the wind, the color red, the blue sky at 1:37 on a summers afternoon, the ocean breaking on the shore. God does not work my life as a puppeteer, he's given me my life to do what I want with it, just wishing me pure happiness. And living a life and experiencing the spectrum of emotions, well that is the best form of happiness.

Sorry, just a note. You don't have to answer my questions or anything...you can just leave them or do what you like with them, it's just how I feel. I'm not asking for answers from you, just sharing my opinions. With love.

You have been deceived. That's not in the Bible. What it says in scripture, is that "there are many mysteries to the kingdom of heaven." It never says that life is a mystery. In fact, God sent Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son, so that you would know exactly what life is. Christ taught in parables to protect the kingdom of heaven. In fact, if you even read the bible, He says that after He's resurrect, He would speak plainly to His disciples, and no more in parables. He spoke in parables, because those that heard it would accept the Holy Spirit in their hearts, and would understand the parable, and know the kingdom of heaven. Those that wouldn't accept the Holy Spirit, and would reject it in their hearts, it would just be a parable, and they wouldn't understand.
Everyone that God has ever touched and done something for has a parable to tell, to glorify God.
First Corinthians Chapter 2, Verse 14.
The natural man doesn't understand the things concerning the Spirit of God. They're foolishness to him because what is God's is spiritually discerned. Don't you know that Jesus Christ is the wisdom of God, and that the Word is the knowledge that God sent to earth to save humankind? This is one of the reasons why He taught. He was crucified to make a way, but He taught so that you would know. So that you could know the Father personally, know the meaning of your life, and so that you would understand enough to put down earthly things. Aesop couldn't tell you that. Aesop is a natural man. Putting down the earthly and picking up what's spiritual is a part of following Christ. I tell you earthly things, because I was sent to plant seeds in this way, but Christ Himself will tell you heavenly things, given this seed falls in good ground.
