Brightest Faith: Question #1
12.21.03 (8:18 pm)   [edit]
Question #1: "During the 1000 years when the Devil will be chained in the bottomless pit (the millenium) will God's people, who live in the new jerusalem, still be married to their same partner to which they were married before, or will they marry new people?" Asked by TrinaBinaBear!
Answer:
Well, TrinaBinaBear. I'm glad to see that, from the way that your question was formed, you seem to be knowledgeable on the words of God. This question can be answered by going into the first Book of the Gospel, Matthew. Turn with me to Chapter 22 and at around Verse 23 it begins to describe when Jesus was asked by the Sadducees, which was a member of a priestly and aristocratic Jewish sect who do not believe in the doctrine of resurrection, began to tempt Jesus by...
"Saying, Master, Moses said, If a man die, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother. Now there were with us seven brethren: and the first, when he had married a wife, deceased, and, having no issue, left his wife unto his brother: Likewise the second also, and the third, unto the seventh. And last of all the woman died also.
Therefore in the resurrection whose wife shall be of the seven? for they all had her," Versus 24-28.
They were trying to trick Jesus because they did not believe in the resurrection. But, Jesus knows what is in our hearts. He knows what we think of and he could read the evils that were inside of the hearts of the Sadducees.

In Verse 29, "Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God. For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven."

So, at the resurrection, we will be like the angels - the angels do not self-reproduce. After Satan's rebellion against God, he took 1/3 of the angels of heaven with him when he rebelled (The Book of Revelations Chapter 12, Verse 4). Until this time, the number of angels remained the same. Angels don't reproduce themselves in the way that humans do. They can perform the activity that humans perform necessary to their reproduction because this is how angels become fallen angels. The angels have been here with God since before the genesis of Earth.
"And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth," The Book of Genesis Chapter 1, Verse 26. When God said "us" he was talking about Himself and His Angels. So, that's why we have so many people here on Earth that look different from each other and why we are each unique in the image of God. By the way, Christ created the Angels (proven by The Book of Colossians Chapter 1, Verse 16).
Also, if you analyze the wedding vows that we take at marriage, "To have and to hold in sickness and in health, for richer or for poorer until death do ye part." No one will be married after death. Also, know this: God wants you to know about the resurrection. The Book of Revelations Chapter 22, Verses 6 and 7 states...
Verse 6, "And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to show unto his servants the things which must shortly be done." He was saying this to the Prophet John, to whom this was revealed.
Verse 7, "Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book." These were the words of Christ, instructing us to keep what is in revelations as things to come.

If you have any more questions, feel free.
