I had a dream...
07.16.04 (8:38 am)   [edit]
I was fighting with the bokken I received for my birthday, when I hit with it, and it snapped in two! It was green instead of black, and it looked like it was made from some sort of soft wood. Strange dream.

Does not the reed bend with the wind instead of fighting it?

"The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit."
The Gospel According to John Chapter 3, Verse 8.
I bend rather to the wind blown that is the Holy Spirit of God.
"And as they departed, Jesus began to say unto the multitude concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken with the wind?"
The Gospel According to Matthew Chapter 11, Verse 7.
Concerning the Saviour,
"A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, till he send forth judgment into victory."
The Gospel According to Matthew Chapter 12, Verse 20, The Book of Isaiah Chapter 42, Verse 3.
God created the wind!
"For, lo, he that formeth the mountains, and createth the wind, and declareth unto man what is his thought, that maketh the morning darkness, and treadeth upon the high places of the earth, The LORD, the God of hosts, is his name."
The Book of Amos Chapter 4, Verse 13.

The wind is from God's treasuries. I'm glad your so astute at quoting The Good Book. It will not impress or gain favor with the barbarians. If we do not yield, will you then call it Manifest Destiny and give us blankets infested with pox? Or simply prefer to dilute our blood by Fornication Under Consent of King?

Biblical question for you. What are the names of the thirteen books cut from The Bible, and who were they cut by?

My apologies for replying as such. I was wrong to bring up the past, you didn't hurt us.
Only thing is, if you plan to be a good witness to barbarians, thieves, drunks, and women of ill repute; then you cannot just be a walking quote carrier. You have to show us that you are a real person. You have to be able to listen to our views with utmost earnesty. We will then see that you are not self-centered in your beliefs, and therefore, someone worthy of the same earnest attention. Only then will you have our ear.

You call 'them' barbarians. I call them neighbours, brothers, and even friends. You talk of what was done in history to erase a race of people. I do nothing to harm anyone and judge no one, all of my actions out of love, yet you judge me.
As a man of Christ, I am humble, trying to impress no one, but service the Lord Jesus Christ.
Christ says otherwise. The Word says, concerning the people you speak of, that Christ is,
"A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel."
The Gospel According to Luke Chapter 2, Verse 32.

You must be talking about the apocryphal books of Tobit, Judith, the Wisdom of Solomon, Ecclesiasticus, Baruch, 1st and 2nd Maccabees, the additions to Esther, 1st and 2nd Esdras, Prayer of Manasseh, Judith, Baruch, Susanna, Bel and the Dragon, and Letter of Jeremiah. They were rejected first by the Jews, then by Polycarp, Ignatius, and Clement, as well as by Cyril, Athanasius, Jerome and Augustine, who was considered the "father of false theology."
It doesn't matter who took them out of anything because, "For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Spirit." The Second Epistle of Peter Chapter 1, Verse 21.
And Verse 20, before it, ""Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation."

The word "lucifer" is the equivalent of the Hebrew word heylel, and means the morning star.
The root, halal, means "to shine."
In the verse in which it is from, The Book of Isaiah Chapter 14, Verse 12, it is referring to the false one who envys the one who sits on the mercy seat. It refers to satan, who is the false morning star, remembering that antichrist means 'instead of' Christ, and not against (the antichrist appears pretending to be Christ to deceive the people), so does this verse refer to the one that tries to take Christ's position.
Remember that Jesus Christ is the true morning star.

You say this judging me on few words. And doing no wrong. And you speak for a group of people that you don't encompass, nor control. You say, "our ear." But who has eyes that see all and ears to hear all? Only the Lord.
I quote the Word because I follow the Word, Christ being the head of Church (this meaning all of God's elect), Christ's body. Christ spoke for His people, so I use the words of the One who does speak for us.
I do so in service to the Lord, sowing seeds.
I am humble in my ways. The Lord exhalts me at His will, and I don't worry about who's attention I have. If I'm humble, why do you accuse me of being self-centered? When I neither "quote" from myself using my own words nor boast myself in vein conceit.

And why do you then refuse to forgive me after I appologize. I did, first off, admit that what I did was out of line and ugly.

Thank you for the answers.

Just giving you a heads up on dealing with us back-woods folk. Take it or leave it. I hadn't much hope on you listening to me anyway, most fundies don't.

You've been forgiven already; had I not known the truth, I would have been offended.
And zekelind, if I wasn't listening to you, how could I answer the questions? It was a delight - if you listened to the answers without hardening your heart, then that's all that matters to me. I have no pleasure in arguing or being right over someone or anything like that.
And I'll do my best to help find answers to any questions you might have.
Marana tha,

I've been dealing with resentments toward Christian fundamentalism for some time now. Ever since I was told the music I liked was from Satan and meditation opened your mind to demons. I appreciate your diplomacy in this matter, as I am a recovering alcoholic, and resentment is one of our biggest problems. I'm trying, thanks for your patience in helping me with this.
I cannot say that I would be an easy person to correspond with (still seas make poor sailors anyway); but if you care to, I would enjoy that. I think we can both learn something from each other's experience. --truce?

Truce. But let no man deceive you. Know the truth and you will know whether to listen to their false judging of you or not.
