posted by: Barnabus1 (reply) post date: 11.29.07 (7:57 pm) At Church..I once said...Jesus is God, a Deacon quipped I wouldn't go that far..he is son of God, meaning less than...I said yeah God the Son! Like the phrase Jesus is Lord, and it's said that only in the Holy Spirit can one say that...I had a problem with that, and replied, "It's just words! even the devil can say Jesus is Lord of some!..The Lord said NO. The meaning of Lord had been watered down even in his time, but the original meaning of Lord, is God! and yes there are many even now that cannot say that!!Evn if offered a great reward!! posted by: (reply) post date: 12.13.07 (11:13 pm) Barnabus, Are you sure you were at a church talking to that deacon, not a Kingdom Hall? Noteworthy is that the fact that the Bible reveals God as triune sets it apart from other worldly sources that claim a similar revelation. The uniqueness of the one true faith that sets it apart from anything that names itself as thus is that its vision of God is nothing like the 'gods' of false religions or cults.
