People dont really belive in evolution like a religion, its simply a scientific theory. You believe in god, yet there is no scientific proof he exists either. Also, it is possible to believe in evolution and god at the same time. Evolution doesn't deny god, just provides a way to look at it differenty, in more scientific terms so scientists and researches can accomplish what they are paid to do, which is so research the world around us. Yes, of course the theory has some flaws, but that is why it is called a theory. Gravity is just a theory as well, but no one really questions it. I think people just need to stop wasting time debating minute details and just love life. posted by: Isaac (reply) post date: 12.09.06 (3:45 pm) Reply to: Oh absolutely, evolution does deny God. God is God of the living, evolution works by death over long periods of time. You cannot believe in God and evolution, both. God says that He's absolute truth. What you've posted is relativism - you can have your own truth, that both are correct. If God is God, then this earth was created in 6 literal days, a very young Earth. There's no way of looking at it differently if God is telling the truth. It's like saying the key of A is the key of G. Whether the theory has flaws or not, if it claims to be truth and exalts itself against God, it's the *lie* of evolution. And Oh, I have proof of the existence of God. How can you believe in evolution and love life if the end of your life is about survival of the fittest? God's Word says, 'In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.' Period. There was no theoretically, He did it. But that He did it. So there shouldn't even be a theory of anything. For example, do you think that God is going to share His glory in heaven with something that claims to be God? Or claim to do what God can do? Or share His throne or His glory? I don't think He will. There's one truth, and I wrote that post because the lie exalts itself against the truth. Truth isn't relative. It's not a matter of country music over rap music. It's life or death, black and white. And it is important. For example, let me ask you, why did Jesus die on the cross? |
