The Lord provided me with a present today... A greek new testament. It came wrapped in purple construction paper, and pocket-sized. It opened nicely, with German and latin and some weird language, and English... An introduction to the greek new testament written by Eberhard Nestle's son. Then, it dove right in. I turned the pages to the light as I read the first few Greek words of the Book of Matthew, and then turned to the Gospel of John. It was turned to 2nd Thessalonians by the ribbon by default. Could this be real? It has a lot of symbols and o's and stops, like my old false, heretical, Companion Bible. But could that just be a knock-off of the real thing, this? The Greek text of the scriptures? It didn't say the Gospel of John, it said KATA IOANNHN, Greek for I dunno. Gospel John? En arche ane ho logos, kai ho logos ane pros ton theon, chi theos ane ho logos. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with {ton theon}, and God was the Word. ? Sounds kind of strange how it is worded. But I know that the Lord Jesus Christ is my shepherd, and my redeemer. And I must depart from evil, and He wont hold His truth from my ears. Cheers!
