Dear Friend,
Did you know that snakes have no sense of hearing? Rather they rely on their ability to sense vibrations, such as an animal walking nearby. The Lord links faith to hearing so it is fitting that the enemy, represented by the serpent, cannot and does not live by faith! When the enemy strikes, he is actually trying to damage our faith. He wants us to be faithless - deaf to God! Stand firm because right on the heels of faithlessness comes discouragement, anxiousness and the leaning toward sin! The next time your faith is waning, remember who you are in Christ! You are 'born of God ... and the evil one cannot touch you.' 1 John 5:18 Take up the shield of faith so you will be able to defeat all evil attacks (Ephesians 6:16) by trusting His Word! Great, eh?
