It's a good thing that everything worked out for you, and that you weren't pressured into doing something that was against what you know is true. At this very moment, I have a friend in the county jail awaiting trial because he robbed a bank. Of course, I don't want prison to be an option (or even any kind of punishment at that..), but people need to learn lessons, and for friends to always try to help out those who won't help themselves only causes heartache and pain. Even if he wouldn't have gotten the money and you made the choice not to give it to him, he would have still respected you for holding on to your beliefs. Stay strong. IJN -TBB posted by: Isaac (reply) post date: 06.29.05 (6:57 am) Reply to: TrinaBinaBear Yes, but I'd rather see my friend alive and whole than rotting in a jail cell. :-( Just as the Lord would want His anointed right before Him rather than in the eternal damnation they brought upon themselves. I think jail might turn James even worse than he is in his habits. But the Lord knows. I don't know. A few days ago we all had a practice where James didn't smoke a cigarette at all, whereas before he was smoking 3 packs a day. I was kind of happy for him. |
