Wait a minute... The tblog stats tell me that someone plugged in "heptadic structure of the psalms" into a search engine, and that's how they found my blog. That's a shocker. For those of you who don't know, heptadic structure of the scriptures refers to the underlying numerology of the Hebrew, or Greek. In Hebrew, there are 22 characters, where each character corresponds to a number where you can count using Hebrew, and there is a science, the name of which I don't want to mention here, of counting up each word and finding hidden meanings within the text. Whether this whole ordeal is inspired by God or not (and it was interesting), I studied it when I was confused by false doctrine. I was living in adultery against God, sexual fornication against God that I justified, and God gave me up in my 4 hour bible studies-a-day to a foolishness called Shepherd's Chapel Doctrine. They studied a spurrious text out of what's called the Companion Bible. In the back of this book were different appendices on aspects of scripture, most of which I would read over or study and find interesting. I studied numerology and was deeply interested in the numerical basis of scripture and the texts, especially using numerology to prove the inspirations of scripture. Why do I now call all of this foolishness? Because the reason why I studied it was because I was sinning against God, and just as Romans 1:24 states, "Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:" Ephesians Chapter 2, Verse 3 speaks of "...fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind..." which is certainly what I did with this "debased mind." (Romans 1:28.) I opened the scriptures, not to pursue the heart of God, in truth, but for my own mind's lusts. A dangerous thing to do... God gave me up to a foolishness and false doctrine that's condemned by all of Church history, the history of the Faith, and by a false shepherd that my Lord Jesus warn ed me about, and probably would have denounced like a Pharisee. If there's anyone out there that stumbles upon this blog and sees the old posts, please keep in mind, at this new post, that the Lord has delivered me from these false doctrines I tried to entangle myself with back then. Please, modern day Christianity teaches, never question your salvation, or your doctrine, just know and believe you have it. But the doctrine of the Apostles that Jesus sent out outlined in the scriptures paints a completely different picture. You are to "Examine yourselves, whether you be in the faith; prove your own selves." So, please examine yourself constantly to see if you are in the faith, if indeed your mind and head are buried in the scriptures as mine were. Lets do a quick test to see where your study of God's Word and your knowledge of the bible has lead you. Do you still continue in your sins? 1. Do you look at women [or men] with lust? Do you go online and look at pornographic material? Are you secretly living a life of sinning against God? If so, this is sin. It is adultery, it is idolatry. This will taint and blind your theology, and God will give you the righteous judgement, as He did me, and you'll run away from the Shepherd as a lamb run astray in the lusts of your mind. 2. Is there anyone you hate or despise? Parents? Old friends or buddies? Neighbors? Teachers? Students?! Bosses? Yourself? If there's any hatred in your heart, 1st John Chapters 1 & 2 make it very clear that this is murder. And that the truth is not in you. You know what that means? Your studies of the scriptures right now are in vain. You've been given up to follow a delusion - because you're using God's grace as an occasion to the flesh, to fulfill the lusts of your mind. Hatred is murder in the sight of God, and no murderer knows God personally, or the truth. 3. Don't believe there's a hell? Don't believe that Jesus rose from the grace? Or, don't believe that He did those miracles He claimed? Then you've made God a liar, who makes it very clear that those things are so, and commit idolatry, and God resists the proud, and gives His grace only to the humble. Everyone who is proud of heart, He hides His truth from. Your studies don't profit you because you're not in Christ yet. Examine yourself. Are you trying to be right with God? 1. If you have to try to be right with God, you're producing works in order to be saved, in vain. The bible makes it very clear that salvation is God's gift, not of works, lest anyone should boast. So, in doing the things that are beneficial to a soul God's saved, no one is saved: No one's saved by going to church, studying the Word, reading the bible, or feeding the poor or any other activity. Not even crying at one's bedside forgives a man. Jesus Christ on the cross as atonement for sins against God to remove the enmity between yourself and God is the only work that God will except, which is not of yourself. So, 2. Are you in Jesus Christ? http://www.needGod.com/" title="http://www.needGod.com/" target="_blank"http://www.needGod.com/
Examine yourself. See if you are in the faith. You may be passing through the desert right now, and you look to the Lord and cry out for mercy to Him, but the Lord will surely bring you to the promised land. With me, this came through repentance, particularly from the 7th commandment - You shall not commit adultery. I lusted, and lusted deep and hard. And got into a lot of trouble with God. I was on my way to hell. This was my state - the tree was good, because I was justified in the blood of Jesus Christ. But its fruit was all the way evil - in that I was given into sexual sin, lusting with the eyes, indulging in sexual pleasures of the flesh, and yet 'Seeking God' daily in the scriptures... or for so I thought... And so I was led to believe, by my own flesh, the spurrious doctrines of the Shepherd's Chapel in Arkansas (see side link at www.carm.org), and the false Gospel of Barnabas and Wisdom of Solomon. Learn from my testimony... but it is more important to hear the testimony of what God did in Jesus, and to be in Jesus. So click this link. And listen to this message. Post, and tell me: what do you think of it? Are your eyes tainted by sin? Do you see scripture through rose colored glasses? http://www.livingwaters.com/learn/" title="http://www.livingwaters.com/learn/" target="_blank"http://www.livingwaters.com/l... Listen to True and False Conversion. Are you a False Convert? http://www.livingwaters.com/" title="http://www.livingwaters.com/" target="_blank"http://www.livingwaters.com/ 3. The last test. What you're studying is scriptural. But, is it biblical? Check it against 1800 years of the Christian faith - would Charles Spurgeon (18th, I think) or Martin Luther (16 cent), or John Wesley (17th cent), ever conceive of biblical numerology, the Gap Theory, or 3 world ages of earth, or New Age ideals and beliefs, or anything? Download www.SwordSearcher.com and look at the commentary by Matthew Henry. Or, read the writing of August, or search Google for the writings of Jonathan Edwards - do these tests of these 'fathers in the faith' match up with what your modern day 'teacher' says? How do you know that that's what Jesus meant in John 18:6, or John 16:8? Does it match up with the historically sound doctrines and reasoning/interpretating of the faith as it came from the 12 Apostles that were taught by Jesus Christ? Oh, be sure! Because, Acts Chapter 2 states that the new disciples that Peter and Paul and them brought in 'continued in the Apostle's doctrine.' Test the fruit of your modern-day teacher. Does it match up? How do they deal with sin? Are their words loving and living, the Word of truth? Or are they spurrious? Are your studies bringing you closer to Jesus Christ. ? Or does the Son of man look foreign to you now in your eyesight, among your new-found New-age belief and teaching? The axe is laid to the root of the tree thats bad and produces bad fruit. You may cry 'Lord, Lord' on Judgement Day. Examine Yourself! Before it's too late. With much love, to all the saints, and those struggling to find grace and peace, who will find it in Jesus Christ. Isaac D. Amen.
