Play Guitar Until It Hurts
02.29.04 (4:50 pm)   [edit]
My first guitar lesson will be tonight at 6 o'clock at this studio. I hope that I will learn well. I learned music on Thursday so that I wouldn't have to waste time and money in a lesson learning how to read it. I just need to learn what the sounds mean. Anywho... My work schedule is this:
1) Complete runaked.com's vBulletin script modification.
2) Complete East West Synthesis's website and silence my Sensei.
3) Round up 10 scholarships and/or financial aid for next year's freshmen year of college at USF.
4) Complete Biznitz, LLC's business plan and get everything running smoothly.
5) Plan-stage Biznitz's Portfolio software project.
If I complete items 1 and 2, I'll have plenty of time to do 3 and as I do 3, I can do 4 and 5.

On Friday I was at Battle of the Bands selling hot dogs with my buddy Adam. It was pretty fun. I had a chance to see my friend Mirza playing. He's really good. His girlfriend seemed pretty proud of him.
We didn't get any money from selling hot dogs because we didn't get the activity request in soon enough, so we gave them away for free along with bags of crisps.

It was pretty inspiring to see classmates play. They had fun. The jazz band won it. Joe M.'s EZ Riders! My favorite kind of guitar music is jazz guitar. It's amazing. Well, I must get ready and make preparations.

If I should die...
02.25.04 (5:21 pm)   [edit]
I was thinking. If I were to die, I would want to leave a message here in the world.

To Carolyn:

  • I'm sorry I died. But...I'm with the Father now. No big deal. I'm waiting for you. But don't come to empy handed. Grow old. Have many children. Spend each day in His service and don't stop for anything or anyone. Use your eyes and ears daily. And stop thinking about me! Think about happy memories. I'm here waiting... No worries. I suppose that I have left a lot of people in pain by leaving this world. But I couldn't bare the thought of you in any more pain. So I leave you this: so long as you keep your faith, I will see you again.

Life is Tiny!
02.22.04 (2:59 pm)   [edit]
Last Thursday I came to school and in first period, I felt something in my ear. I reached in to see what it was and there was some sort of white waxy crust in my ear. I reached in and scraped it off, which was gross, and then blood started leaking out of my ear. I didn't panic, but I wiped the blood with some tissue. The tissue was soaked in blood, but I tried to hide it. I remained calm, but thoughts were rushing through my head that my brain was leaking and that I was going to die soon. I really did believe this. I wasn't worried or sad. Or angry, for that matter. I didn't go into denial or cause a panic. I sat quietly, waiting for my ear to stop issueing blood.

After a while, another student asked to go to the clinic. I asked to go with him and said something was wrong with me, too. The clinic was closed and it said to go to another office (thanks a lot Governor Jeb). The lady wasn't a nurse and didn't know what to do. I couldn't get a hold of my mum (no cell phone or way to contact anyone in an emergency, no car and no address or clue where the place she works is). So, I went back to class. The ear stopped its outlet. I could feel my inner ear surging with pain and I began to get a slight headache. I knew I was going to die sooner or later.

I didn't have any flashbacks. No regrets. No "I want to tell my mum that I love her." Nothing. At the end of class, after I had walked out, I looked to the sky and thanked my heavenly Father.

When I got home, I plugged in "bleeding ear" into Google, discovered that the bleeding ear was a symptom of a healing ruptured ear drum and that I would live to see another day.

After thinking about this, the night before I was telling Mary how I've been through and have learned quite a bit and I'm only 17 and that if I'm going to live 120 years, life is too long and that I wasn't afraid of death. Though I proved this the day after, my heavenly Father's demonstration to me brought me to realize that life is tiny! I'm only here 120 years! That's nothing! It feels like yesterday I was 2 years old on an English street, holding my mother's hand. I can still remember it quite clearly and if I close my eyes and block out everything, it feels lik eit was yesterday. We only have so long before we're old and on our deathbed waiting for the day of atonement! If it's God's will that He should allow to live that long, even at all!

Don't waste what the Lord has given you! When the first man was created in Genesis, the Lord breathed into his nostrils life. (The Hebrew word for this breath is "RUAH", meaning wind, as I recall.) Every breath we take is a precious gift of love from the Lord! Don't waste it!

Work
02.16.04 (9:58 pm)   [edit]
I posted the Weekly Bible Study 2 days late. I planned to stay committed to posting them, even though people may or may not read them. I put effort into making its consistancy and I had hoped that I'd do them every Saturday.

But I've started to slip. It's because I'm not focusing. God talks to me in many ways, as communication is not done simply verbally only. God communicates on so many levels and you really need to have your ears and eyes open to understand what God is telling. But, so, I see and I understand. Someone came into my life and they taught me how to focus. And God brought them into my life, because things just don't happen. I know this all-important skill, but how can good works come from it if I don't use it? It's like a diminishing muscle. God gave me all of these marvelous things, and I don't deserve them, but I keep them and use them as they are given to me by my heavenly Father. So who am I to just sit here and take for granted what has been given to me? I'd honour the Father better if I used what He's given.

So am I to just sit here on my butt and do nothing? No! I'm to sit here on my butt and work! I need to focus. And I'll use what He's taught me for that.

Love thy mother
02.14.04 (3:29 pm)   [edit]
I don't have a clue who reads this. I don't know you or what your situation is in. But please, if you're reading this, love your mother. And if you love her, take care of her.

I'm a high school student. My name is Isaac. I'm a few months away from being a college student. I know that doesn't define who I am, but it tells you about my situation. But if I look at my life, I can sort of see myself as a mother's boy. I've never been grounded. I've never been sent to my room. There were plenty of times when I was upset as a child, but now that I'm older and wiser I hardly ever get upset and when I do I'm able to laugh about it. With my mother.

When we first came to America, we slept on the floor of a house the family didn't really own. And it was a large family. There were 6 of us (there used to be 8 of us) and there were 3 bedrooms between us all. We slept on sheets.

When we were doing a bit better and moved into a larger house by some miracle, my mother had a divorce and she and my older sister, H, and youngest sister, Marley, moved into an apartment. The last day I saw my father was the first I'd seen of my step-father.
He was a weird man at first. I remember my mum asked me to spend time with him and I remember going to the store with the guy and when I asked him if he wanted the change back from what I bought he got upset and I thought that was weird. The apartment had 2 bedrooms and I had neither one. I slept in the living room for about 3 hours.

We moved into a house this time that we rented. Terrible living conditions. I had the laundry room. The step-father made promises that he would fix up the place when we first moved in but they remained unfulfilled for the next 5 years. We had major problems, the guy and I. I didn't know him. I had no clue who he was or why he decided to love my mum one day. I know why she 'loved' him. We were in a terrible situation and she needed to supplement the income with another person working in the household. I figured that out when I was 12. But I never knew how she was able to put up with him. He is a mean man. I remember the first two weeks after I had lived with him, he yelled at me for not cleaning the bathroom correctly and I cried for hours. He would go out and get drunk and wouldn't call and spend the entire night and morning out doing something she had no clue he was doing. My mother would stay up and worry herself for hours. I felt so bad. He was arrested several times and there were times and I remember not seeing the guy for months.

But he would always come back and he'd be more grumpy and meaner than anything I'd ever seen. He's meaner than anyone I've ever met and he brings evil into the house. He's been yelling at me for years. But I haven't changed. I don't get angry and lash out at him. I don't yell and go to my room and slam the door like I've heard some children do. I've always absorbed it like a sponge. I tried once. He told me to bottle it up inside. Crazy, isn't it? My mother and that man are always arguing now. Today I've reached the days where I'm going to make that transition where I become the person I'm going to be for the rest of my life, like everyone says, and I know how it feels and seen how bad men treat their wifes. How these men disappoint their mothers. How they don't change. How much pain and sorrow they cause. My mother is 50 years old. He's 42. My mother has another 17 years before she can retire. And she has high blood pressure. She doesn't go to church anymore. She hasn't found a good one with people that accept her the way she is (a foreigner), sort of like me. Her friends have stopped coming over because they're afraid of her husband. She has to work all day and when she comes home she has to deal with her oppressive husband. Her children try to make her happy, but with all of her problems, it's difficult to stay happy for like.

He doesn't work anymore. He's trying to go to school but he can't pass the math part of the GED. She has no use for him anymore and on Friday she was crying because he doesn't care how hard she works or that he says terrible things and makes her feel horrible. She cleans people's houses on weekends, which she's doing right now, to pay for the expenses that she takes up. She doesn't want my younger sister or me doing it because she doesn't want us to grow up knowing how it feels to clean houses.

I used to go and do it with them, but the guy would yell at me for doing something too slowly. And he himself would do a terrible job so they ask my mum to do it without him. So he doesn't help. He cooks and sometimes he keeps the house clean, but not always. I do my fair share. I clean what I use and I try to make everyone happy. I've tried in the past for years to please that man in there, but I've rarely ever seen him happy, can remember only a few instances where he's told me I've done a good job, and can't ever remember hearing a sympathetic word out of him.

I don't know who he is or the details about his childhood problems that he's had, but I want him gone. Since I'm going off to college, it would be easier for me to leave, but how can I leave my mother in this situation? So I'm prepared to live here at home for the next two years until that man leaves. My sister H has a husband and kid and her husband is leaving the army after being sent to Iraq and she's coming over here to help me drown him out. My mother will be a lot happier than she is with him.

When Jesus ministered for 3 years, the Sadducees and the Pharisees of the church plotted to kill him, which he had been telling his disciples would happen for years. It was even prophecized about in the book of Isaiah. When they came to crucify Him, they put Him on trial and after they falsely found Him guilty (because He claimed to be the son of God, which He was), they sentenced Him to the crucifixion He had anticipated His entire life and His mother had to watch Him die. As much as I'm suffering under this guy, no one in this house suffers more than the woman that married him. But there will be happy days without him. After three days, Mary was able to see her Son again, as He returned from heaven to show her that He was fine. When Jesus left for heaven again some time later, He asked His beloved disciple, John, to take care of His mother as He went to be with the Father.

In situations like this, I just need to remember that my heavenly Father is more important to me than any father I'd have here in the world. I need to remember that I have had a good relationship with Him and that He has been my Father all of these years, even with all of these men that marry my mother. And that He takes care of my mother for me. Like when she went to New York last month and I prayed that she would be alright. And she didn't have any problems and was able to stay warm.

So if you love your mother, take care of her. Pray for her if it's necessary and the Father will take care of her better than any man. Yes, it is written, honour thy father and thy mother. But if you love the one who used to take care of you, please, take care of them.

Brightest Faith: Question #9
02.14.04 (8:17 am)   [edit]
[Quote=JamesYerian]
Would you please post a blog entry explaining how 22,000 + different denominations of Christianity can all say they know the word of God when they all differ on its interpretation?

What organization put the New Testament together?
[/Quote]
God asks His faithful not to judge others, but, through His word, asked us to love one another, as we are made in His image. It would not be righteous in God's eyes to hate people and if so, they can't call themselves Christ-following christians. One thing that must be known is that a truthful person of God would leave judgement up to our heavenly Father. I'm not saying that you're judging anyone, but saying that that's important to address in this.
Part of Jesus' ministry was tell let everyone know that Jews and Gentiles alike were created by Him and that He loves them all as His creation.
The Book of Luke Chapter 12, Verse 51, "Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division:"
Verse 52, "For henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three."

At the beginning of the Book of John, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." This spoke of Jesus Christ, whom God sent to earth to be His words:
Deuteronomy Chapter 18, Verse 15, "The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;"
Then, later on, in Verse 18, "I will raise them up a prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him."

Jesus Christ was not only the Saviour, but the words of the Lord were spoken through Him. And by Him, everyone will be judged.
It isn't up to the followers to interpret His words, but to hearken to them.
Verse 19, "And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him."

His disciples that were there to witness Him and to hear His teachings and His words explained His ministries in the other books of the new testament. God's meaning was expressed through Jesus Christ, His son whom He sent. Christians can't take His meaning and change it into something else by interpretation. It is what it is. If someone tried to change it or add to it, they'll be found a liar. In the days in which we live, there are many liars. And many people that cast deception. God knows that.
The Gospel Acc. to Matthew Chapter 24, Verse 4, "And Jesus said unto them, take heed that no man deceive you."
Verse 5, "For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many."
And if you read with understanding further within those scriptures, you'll find that these are the beginnings of sorrows.

Don't go by what men are telling you, but by what God teaches you in truth. If you know the truth and trust in the Lord, God will be a shield to you (Proverbs Chapter 30, Verse 5) and you will be able to defend against deception.

The new testament wasn't put together by an organization. They were written by certain disciples of Jesus in old days as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. I've read that many people that Jesus influenced or moved did also write down what happened to them and shared them and later the writings were used by the writers to give details so that they could lay out how it all happened. But if you take all the miracles that Jesus did day to day, the books would be much larger than those that are in the testament today.

The epistles were also written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.

Later on the Protestants reorganized the bible and took out the books of the apocrypha, which were in the scripture that Jesus studied Himself (the septuagint).
I could be wrong, but how would any of you know unless you asked God for that truth?

The Book of Proverbs Chapter 30, Verses 4 & 5,
"Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar."

It is important that you read near the end of the Book of the Gospel According to John Chapter 17 if you want to know what Jesus Christ the words of God, the Father, said on this matter, which is more important than anything anyone could muster up.
